It was 7:30 a.m., early and bright, and Form 2 and 3 students were enthusiastic to play all the different games. They had their annual Sports Day on Monday March 12, 2012 at the Emilio Wilson Park. It was one of the best Sports Day. This was a day full of activities no one was expecting.
IB Year 1 students organized all the activities and they were designated to be referees and team captains. After all, the day wouldn’t have gone smoothly without them. In addition, the two forms were divided into different colors which were red, blue, green, yellow, white, and black. The activities played were obstacle course, skipping rope, ski race, charades, water transfer, water race, soccer, lineball, hockey, and last but the best was tug-of war. Form 2 classes were competing against each other as well as Form 3. Each game was played fair, and every student showed sportsmanship.
One of the students in Form 3, Josiah Arnold, said, “It was really fun due to the fact that everyone enjoyed themselves, and the activities were all in tacked. This Sports Day turned out to be a success.” As for just being classmates, everyone got to know each other more and bonded quite well; they worked as a team. Even though the scorching sun was beating on us, the day turned out to be amazing.
