Last year two students and a mentor visited Saba to take part in a chess tournament hosted by Child Focus. This event was successful.
On May 25, 2017, the chess club members of Child Focus, from Saba, came to St. Maarten for one day.
The purpose of this trip was to have a chess match with St. Dominic High students.
The event started at 09:00 with breakfast, followed by round I. Lunch was then served, followed by, round II which ended at 14:30.
There were two divisions. The members of the two divisions, seniors and juniors, competed intensely.
After the tournament winners were given their prizes during the final ceremony.
The Chess Match at St. Dominic High was a success!
